Surendra Singh Choudhary, better known as Bittu Tabahi, spent months cleaning the garbage-filled Ajnar River in Madhya Pradesh, removing plastic, algae and debris largely by himself

His before-and-after videos went viral, eventually reaching Boyan Slat, founder and CEO of The Ocean Cleanup.
Slat saw what Bittu had been doing and responded with just four words:
“Come work for us.”
What started as one young man trying to clean his local river has now turned into an unexpected international opportunity.
Bittu wasn’t looking for fame or a job.
He simply saw a dirty river and decided to do something about it. And the world noticed. ❤️🌊
